The tavern cellar beneath the drowned observatory was sealed for a reason. When the final cask was disturbed, a cluster of vine-bright tentacles rose from the stone, curling around the bottle with unsettling care. They did not crush it. They did not steal it. They simply held it aloft, angled perfectly for the next pour, as though serving a guest expected from somewhere far below.

The keepers named the creature the Verdant Grasp. Its limbs shift from deep coral and ember orange into poisonous green, recalling something grown where sunlight has never reached. Whether it guards the evening vintage or merely waits for the cork to be pulled remains uncertain. For now, it has proven remarkably useful—and no one has volunteered to ask what happens when the bottle is empty.

The Verdant Grasp is a 3D printed wine bottle holder formed from a cluster of curling eldritch tentacles.
