Blackjaw Grizzly | Roaring Bear Head Wall Art

In the mountain passes beyond the timber line, travellers once marked safe roads with carved bear heads. Most showed calm guardians with closed jaws and watchful eyes. Blackjaw was different. Its mouth was left open in a permanent roar, warning that the path ahead belonged to something older than kings and less patient than wolves. When the last trail shrine collapsed, the relic was recovered beneath splintered beams, its pale and dark markings still running across the fur like winter shadows. Those who hang its likeness do not ask for protection. They simply make it clear that quiet walls are no longer welcome.

About this piece

The Blackjaw Grizzly is a 3D printed bear head wall sculpture with a powerful open-mouthed pose and a high-contrast black-and-white layered finish.

The raised snout, deep-set eyes, exposed teeth and heavily textured fur create substantial depth across the entire piece. Alternating black and pale layers follow the contours of the face, producing a graphic striped effect that changes as the viewing angle and light shift.

Materials and finish

Made from PLA using a black-and-white multi-colour 3D printing process. The layered colour placement creates the striped graphic effect across the sculpted surface.
