Description
The archivists called it the Threefold Ward: three nameless skulls sealed inside a narrow iron-black frame and placed among books too dangerous to leave unattended. The upper guardian watched forgotten histories, the middle kept forbidden knowledge from wandering, and the lowest listened for anything moving beneath the shelf. No record explains who they were in life. One damaged catalogue merely advises that the ward should remain upright, surrounded by stories and preferably facing away from the reader’s bed. Whether used to steady a row of treasured volumes or displayed as a relic among them, it brings the quiet vigilance of an abandoned necromancer’s library to the shelf.
About this piece
The Threefold Skull Ward is a 3D printed gothic bookshelf piece featuring three bone-white skulls stacked vertically within a slim black rectangular frame.
