Description
Deep within Skullwood, where the oldest trees grow around things best left buried, pale lights sometimes drift between the trunks. Travellers mistake them for lanterns until the wings begin to move.
The Firemoth is said to feed on the last warmth of abandoned campfires. Its broad wings carry the colours of moss, sulphur and dying embers, while the skull-like face beneath them watches without blinking. Forest keepers once carved its image above their doors, believing the creature would consume wandering curses before they crossed the threshold. Whether that protection worked is uncertain. What is known is that the moths always arrived before something disappeared.
About this piece
The Skullwood Firemoth is a dramatic 3D printed wall sculpture combining a skull-like face with the wings, antennae and curved forms of a large fantasy moth.
Its symmetrical design spreads widely across the wall, while layered green, yellow and ember-gold details reveal the wing markings, facial contours and curled tusk-like shapes. The result is part woodland guardian, part nocturnal monster and entirely unwilling to blend into ordinary décor.
